Blakley's Photo Shoot

My darling friend, Tori took Blakley's three year pictures for me. Like always, she did a great job.  Blakley was such a little stinker bug that day.  So I was surprised that we got as many good pictures as we did.

Favorite Past time....

After taking a couple of seasons off from baseball to play other sports, Carter decided he wanted to start playing again.  And he has found his new favorite past time....  To say that he has loved playing this season is a bit of an understatement.  He was super excited to be able to play with his cousin Brooks and his friend Bryton.  PLUS.... he got to have his uncle Shane as his coach.  SO LUCKY!

Princess turns 3!

The princess starts her birthday off with balloons, balloons and more balloons!  And the biggest smile on her little face!

 Look at her CRAZY hair!

I love this little girl with all my heart!  She has brought such a sweet presence to this house full of crazy boys.  Her brothers all adore her and she can pretty much get them to do anything for her:) She is a little firecracker though.  She is one determined girl and we have yet to find something that she is afraid of.  She is very independent and thinks she can do anything all by herself.  "I do it" or "lemme do it" are her famous words we hear all the time.  She is so much fun to have around and she is always doing or saying something to crack us up.  And there is nothing like her big squeezes to make you feel better!

Her cute aunt Emily made her her own little pink cake.  She was in Heaven!!!  She didn't have to share it with anyone :) Thanks Em!

Happy 3rd Birthday Blakee-Doo!
We love you so much!

Carter turns SEVEN!!!

My little man turned seven years old this year!  I  know I always say this but I cannot believe that he is that old already.  He is growing up so fast.  He has always been my little boy.  My little buddy.  But he is getting older.  He is becoming more independent.  Although it is hard to watch him grow up, I love the little man that he is growing up to be.  I love him so much!

His morning started with a surprise from the Balloon Fairy.  She is always trying to switch it up a little and make it fun.  This year she left seven mylar balloons with boxes of candy tied to them.  He got SEVEN boxes of candy.  What a lucky duck!  I think he was more excited for the candy than the fact that it was is birthday!

I was bummed that he had to go to school, but when I picked him up he said that he had the best day ever and got to be the helper all day!

He chose Chuck-a-Rama for dinner!  To say he loves this place is a bit of an understatement.  He loves being able to pick whatever he wants to eat.  He also changes his mind a lot so here he can make a plate take some bites then go get something else.  Perfect place for him!  He was lucky enough to have Grandma Sue, Grandpa Tom and Grandma Terra all come and eat with us!

They rounded a bunch of the employees and sang to him.
Check out that dessert they made for him.

Finally it was present time!

Happy Birthday Car Car!
We love you so much!

Brushy Brushy

Blakley's 1st trip to the dentist.

She did great!  She wasn't scared one bit.  She climbed right up on the chair like a champ.  She thought it was pretty cool that she got to watch a movie on the ceiling during the cleaning.  Unfortunately, she has a cavity between two of her teeth and we have to go back in a month to get the cavities filled.  I want to keep her thinking that the dentist is a fun place so we decided to have her put to sleep to have them filled.  Hopefully, she will not remember a thing about it!

She was SUPER excited to get her new toothbrush and her own toothpaste!

Good Job Blakley Doo!

Carterism

Carter: "Hey mom, S*#t is not a bad word.  It means "nothing" in smurf talk."
Me: "How do you know?"
Carter:  "Because my friend is a expert in smurf talk.  He knows all the smurf language."
(3/1/2012)

Carter: "Hey mom, did they have cars when you were born?"
Me:  "Yep."
Carter:  "Like real cars or wooden carts with wheels?"(after thinking for a few mins) "Was Abe Lincoln alive when you were born?"
Me:  "Nope."
Carter:  "What about King George?"

Really buddy???? How old do you think I am? lol
 (4/9/2012)

Carter:  "Hey Mom, if you can be the best at one thing what would you choose?"
Me:  "A mom."
Carter:  "No, mom you already are that."
Me:  "I'm the best mom?"
Carter:  "Nope, but you're a mom.  Choose something else."

Oh he sure knows how to make my day! lol

Blakley's new Easter Dress
Darling!
I love this little girl so much!

HAPPY EASTER!

Easter Eve

For our Easter Eve, we had not one but two parties to help us get ready for the big day.  It started in the morning with Hilarie's Famous Easter Extravaganza!  She had all of the neighbors on our street over for hot chocolate, scones and of course an egg hunt for the kids.

Our afternoon plans were: BBQ at Corey and Jessie's darling new house with the whole fam dam.  We look forward to this Easter party every year.  It has been a family tradition as long as I can remember.

 Avery and Blakley

Those Lavin kids sure are talented!!!
 And then the hunt begins!

Carter was one of the few kids that ended up with the golden (silver) egg!  It was filled with money $. LUCKY!
I love that Kenli could care less that everyone is looking for candy.  She was satisfied with what she has.  What a little cutie!

The picture above makes me laugh!  You can just tell that Shane is thinking "I'm going to kiss you!"  And does he???
YEP!
What a bunch of good-looking kids!!!

Happy Easter Eve!
Can't wait to see if the Bunny comes tonight!
