Baby Kenli's Shower

My mom, Emily and I decided we wanted to throw Wendy a baby shower to help her get ready for baby Kenli's arrival. She should be here in about a month!!! We can't wait for her to join our family:) Emily graciousness let us have it at her darling house. Thanks Em

Check out this amazing cake! My mother-in-law's co-worker makes cakes as a little side business, but soon hopes to do it full time. What a talent!

The cute favors Emily made. This is what the poem said:

"WITH TINY HANDS & TINY FEET
I HOPE THAT VERY SOON WE'LL MEET
AS FOR NOW PLEASE STAY AWHILE
SIT BACK, RELAX & SIMPLY SMILE
AND ALTHOUGH TODAY I CAN'T BE THERE
HERE'S SOMETHING SWEET THAT I'D LIKE TO SHARE.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR GIFTS & WISHES
LOOKING FORWARD TO YOUR HUGS & KISSES.
LOVE, BABY KENLI

Emily and I made these decorated balls to spruce up the place....then thought they would be cute in Kenli's room so we sent them home with Wends:)

Clint's Big Marathon

Clint ran his 1st marathon on June 12th.

Mile 20
still going strong

He did it!!!
Chip Time 3:39:04

Clint set a goal for himself of 4 hours....and he killed it!
Way to go Babe!

Troy and Tanner are two of Clint's biggest fans! They were so excited to watch him cross the finish line. I was trying to get Clint to smile, but this was about the biggest smile I could get. He was exhausted.

Clint and Brent (co-worker)
still exhausted

After the marathon, Clint changed his clothes and then him and Tanner jumped into his friends car and they drove 12 hours round trip to pick up a car he bought! He realized that it wasn't the smartest thing to do after running 26.2 miles:) Poor guy was sore for days!

Welcome the newest member of our family, Jetti!
Wonder what he will want after his next marathon?????
Who knows:)

Troy's Field Trip

Troy's class had their year end field trip scheduled to go to the zoo. He was so excited to go! When he brought home his permission slip, he just kept asking me if I would go with him. I took full advantage because I know before long he will be hoping that I don't go. Carter, lil' Clint and I meet him there. I also let Tanner sluff half a day from school to come with us. Troy was so happy to see all of us there waiting for him when he got off of the bus.

I just love the next two pictures...
Here they are waiting for the gigantic elephant to sneeze.
Check out Tanner's excited face:)

Ahhhhhhh-Chew!
Ewww Gross

Carter was a little skeptical to stick his head inside of the lion's mouth to get a drink!

Let me tell you a little about a day at the zoo with Carter. When we were sitting down eating our lunch, I got distracted talking to Clint on my cell and didn't notice him wonder off. Next thing I know I look over and see Carter climbing down the back side of a 12 foot fence. YES 12 Feet!! Not only was it tall but there were spikes on top of it. Seriously I think I had a mini heart attack! I yelled for him to climb back over which he did in all of 2 seconds. He definitely is a Spider Monkey! When he was safe on the ground next to me I told him that he could have been attacked by a bear or something. I forgot I still had Clint on the phone until I heard him laugh and ask "Did you really just tell your 5 year old that he would be attacked by a bear if he climbed over that fence again?" No words! I thought I got my point across to Carter until I caught him trying to climb some more fences to get a closer look at the monkeys. Later that night, while I was putting him to bed he said "Mom, I just want to work at the zoo liff (with) the animals when I grow up."

Tanner and Clint acting way to cool for a picture.

What good-lookin boys!

Troy~ I am so glad that I was able to go to the zoo with your class. It was so nice of Grandma Sue to help me out and watch Blakley. I wanted to spend some time with just my boys. You boys were so much fun to hang out with. I love you all so much! xoxo mom

Tanner's Field Trip

Tanner's year end field trip was scheduled to go to the Aquarium. Tanner called me that morning from school to let me know that he told his teacher that I was going and to come to the school in a hour. I just love it when my kids plan my day for me:) Luckily, Grandma Sue was free to watch Blakley for me! (one less kid I would be in charge of) I put Troy and Carter in the car and we were off to the Aquarium.

It was the first time for any of my kids to be there. They each loved different things: Carter loved listening to the Pirate tell stories, Troy loved being shocked by the eel and Tanner loved the string rays.

Tanner, Troy and Kai

"We're not worthy!"

"Mommy, Look I'm a Baby jurl (girl) penguin like Blakley"

"Look I am like Bentley!"

"Am I like me?"

"Now I am a daddy one!"

There was a sign posted on how to pet the sting rays using your two fingers. Carter was using his two fingers alright, using them to poke them. Seriously kid! He is always testing your limits:)
Yes, we're big into the bunny ear phase!

CAMPING

Every spring, my family gets together and goes on their annual camping trip. We have been going to the same campgrounds since I was a little girl. I have so many great memories from all of our trips and I hope that we are making the same memories for my kids.

Lela, Jessica, Tristin and Clint got to come with us, too.
We sure LOVE them!

Uncle Bobby and Aunt Jo

Shane Dawg and Mr. Benson

Brooks aka "Mr. Scary"

Codes and Wends

Bentley sure loved it up there.

We set up a kiddie pool to let the kids play in. Carter and Brooks loved it. Check out the hand holdin'..... Best Buddies for sure!

We took the kids to the Hot Springs. When we got there, Blakley insisted on sitting with her daddy in the car. It was way too hot outside. I couldn't blame her.

The kids got to ride in the back of the truck. They were in heaven:)

Nothing like going to see the Hot Springs in the middle of the hot day.
I want to go back in the winter when I can get in:)

Every year, we line the kids up (usually in age) and take a picture. It is fun to see the changes from year to year. This year we added Baby Avery!!! Last year we added Blakley:)

What a group of good lookin' (and dirty) kids!

What a fun tradition! I hope we continue this one for sure:)
