Grandma Oma

Clint's darling grandma turned 84 this year on April 15th. We really wanted to spend her birthday weekend with her, so we piled into the car and headed on up to Idaho. She couldn't have been more happy to see all of us. Her face lit up when we walked in the door.

She had just been released from the hospital not to many days before we arrived so she really didn't have very much energy to leave her house, but that didn't stop us from having FUN with her. We ended up watching the movie Tangled. She had not seen it before, so it made it fun to watch it with her. I loved listening to her giggle during it. What a sweet lady!

I took my fair share of pictures. Everyone was being such a good sport for me. Thanks guys!

We wanted to surprise her by replanting all of her pots with flowers! I sneaked out during the movie to plant them. She was so grateful that her patio looked like spring-time that she started to cry. Oh how I love her! I know we made her day!

The kids were so excited that we stayed in a hotel. This of course means that there is going to be LOTS of SWIMMING!!! I think we started each morning and ended each night in the pool!

Tanner being a little smarty pants here and trying to tell me that he was going to dive in the "NO DIVING" zone. Ha Ha Ha

The next day, we all went over to Clint's Aunt Linda's house for a little Birthday party. Grandma just didn't seem to be as bright-eyed as the day before. She didn't even make it through dinner before she had to go take a nap. She was sure trying to be a good sport though.

I love how I tried to take this picture several times and each time Troy would jump into it pulling a silly face. I finally gave up. Guess he was meant to be in the picture!

Before we left the party, each of us went into the room to tell her good-bye. Because of her poor health, we really weren't sure if we would see her again. When it was Clint's turn to go in, she asked if he would give her a blessing. He told her that he would love to and asked if there was anything in particular that she wanted from the blessing. She told him that she really wanted to go see grandpa and she was ready. Clint gave her the most wonderful blessing. He blessed her with strength to finish out her journey here on earth and to let her know how much her family and her Heavenly Father love her.

Grandma Neoma passed away on April 21, just 5 days after we left to come back home. What a blessing that we were able to see her before she passed away. I am so thankful that we were able to spend the weekend with her. I am thankful that my kids will have happy memories of their great grandma and know that she loved each and everyone of them so much.

We will always love you Grandma Oma!

Sneak Peak

Guess who's backyard is getting remodeled??
We are!!!
Can't wait till it is all done:)

Miss Blakley was scared of the tractor so she put on this bicycle helmet and felt much better! Funny Girl!

Carter and Blakley spent the whole morning watching the landscapers work. I felt like I should have paid them a babysitting fee. I was able to get caught up on all the dreaded laundry.

Tanner's the BIG *10*

Tanner's Birthday is here!!!
He is 10 years old!!
WOW!

All three of my boys went to bed in Tanner's room the night before his birthday with the intention of staying up all night and catching the balloon fairy in the act. They even set up a trap. TRICKY! TRICKY! Good thing the Balloon Fairy was extra careful that night and was able to get all the balloons in his room without even interrupting their dreams!

This note was found on the floor of his room under all of the balloons.

The boys were LUCKY enough to be on Spring Break, which means NO SCHOOL!! YEA!! Tanner got to choose where he wanted to meet his daddy for lunch. When you give him a choice it will almost always be SUBWAY. So Subway it is! They have been begging to go see the new Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2 movie so after lunch, we piled back into the car and off to the theater we went.

Later that night came the PRESENTS!
I took Carter, Troy and Blakley to the store and let each of them pick something out for Tanner. They each picked the funniest gift!

Troy picked out his favorite chips!

Carter picked out his favorite cookies!
Wow are we addicted to food here or what:) lol

Blakley (with a little help) picked out his favorite movie!
August Rush

It seems like lately, he has been growing like a weed and needs all new clothes. Shirts and shorts are on the top of that list.

You're going to be one good-lookin kid in those new clothes!
Happy Birthday Buddy!
I sure love you!

It'S pArTy TiMe

March and April are packed full of birthdays for our family, with 2 in March and the other 4 in April (not including our extended family) it seems like we are having a party every week:) Clint and Tanner's birthday fall at the beginning of April and only 2 days apart. We had one BIG family party to help them celebrate.

Clint's friend Scoob gave him a fun gift:)
Thanks for the laughs Scoob!

Tanner made out like a BANDIT with all his gifts!
He got goggles and dive toys from Cody and Wendy.

He got basketball shorts and a tee shirt from Shane and Emily.

He got a new basketball and bullets for his air-soft gun from Scoob!

He got a flag football game from Grandma Terra.
PLUS $10 from Great-Grandpa Ted.

Lucky for me, the girls made the cakes for both Tanner and Clint!
Tanner got a Soccer ball!

I was hoping that we took a picture of Clint's cake before we cut into it. But I can't find one. Jessica had drawn a picture of a wheelchair on it. Super Cute for my OLD MAN:) lol

Great-Grandpa Ted reading stories to Bentley. What a CHERISHED picture! Look how cute they are together.

Grandma Sue with Princess Kenli

Cute Little Benson posing for a picture!

Thanks to everyone who came to help celebrate two of the most important peoples in my life. I feel so blessed to have such an amazing family.
