Here comes Peter Cottontail....

After a fun filled Saturday with my family, Easter Sunday came and the kids must have still been exhausted because we had to wake them up to let them know the Easter Bunny came.  Sleepy Heads!

After church, we had a party over at my parent's house.  My cute mom had baskets hid for all of the grandkids to find.

Sadly, I only got a picture of Blakley in her Easter dress.

My grandpa Ted loves our friend Scoob or "Scoop"!  My grandpa is a little hard of hearing.  I'm pretty sure he thinks his name is Scoop.  We have tried to correct him, but it doesn't stay.  So Scoop it is! lol!

Easter Party

OK so it is taking FOREVER to update my blog!  Like FOREVER!  I'm now blogging the last part of March.  YAY!!  Only six more months till I'm up to date!  Piece of cake right?!?!?

This year for Easter, it was our turn to throw the family party.  On the Saturday before Easter, we decided to have the party at in our house.  Benefit of sharing a backyard with my parents. No fence between us means extra big yard!

 All of the kids
Minus Cody and Wendy's kids (they were on vacation) and Carter (he was lying on the ground behind the couch). Leave it to Carter!

 Twinners~Caden and Carli
Poor Caden just had his wisdom teeth pulled out the day before.

I LOVE that we have been carrying on this tradition since I was a little girl.  I hope that my kids always treasure these times with their cousins!  I know that I have.  Easter parties with my mom's side of the family are some of my funnest memories of my childhood.  I love my family!

Easter!!

Waiting to see if the Easter Bunny came.......

I think this picture answers that question!!!
She was excited to say the least!

Blakley's new Easter Dress
Darling!
I love this little girl so much!

HAPPY EASTER!

Easter Eve

For our Easter Eve, we had not one but two parties to help us get ready for the big day.  It started in the morning with Hilarie's Famous Easter Extravaganza!  She had all of the neighbors on our street over for hot chocolate, scones and of course an egg hunt for the kids.

Our afternoon plans were: BBQ at Corey and Jessie's darling new house with the whole fam dam.  We look forward to this Easter party every year.  It has been a family tradition as long as I can remember.

 Avery and Blakley

Those Lavin kids sure are talented!!!
 And then the hunt begins!

Carter was one of the few kids that ended up with the golden (silver) egg!  It was filled with money $. LUCKY!
I love that Kenli could care less that everyone is looking for candy.  She was satisfied with what she has.  What a little cutie!

The picture above makes me laugh!  You can just tell that Shane is thinking "I'm going to kiss you!"  And does he???
YEP!
What a bunch of good-looking kids!!!

Happy Easter Eve!
Can't wait to see if the Bunny comes tonight!

Wait, it's Easter already????

I have had a really hard time deciding if I wanted to post about Easter at all this year. #1 because I really don't have any memory of it and #2 I feel like I have completely dropped the ball this holiday :( I know I have good reason but still being a mom makes me feel like I should have been on top of this one. Why wasn't I completely ready before the weekend started???? No cute Easter clothes for the boys this year, No cute Easter dress for Blakley this year, No Easter bonnet for me...hehehe! Next Year I promise (except for the bonnet)! But after all, I remembered that this holiday was about the kids and they completed LOVED it. Everyone picked up the pieces and it came together!

Since I was still in the hospital on Easter morning, the Easter Bunny decided he would visit my kids when I got home. Lucky for them the doctors released me on that Sunday afternoon so they only had to wait an extra day. I think originally they were talking that I would be there at least two more days. I was so glad to be home!

Sunday afternoon, my parents had the family over for dinner and fun!
There was only three rules:

Rule #1: Find as many eggs as you can

1....2....3
And they're off!

Blakley took her time and found some.
She wanted to get them all by herself. No help!

Rule #2: Find a bucket filled with lots of goodies!

Blakley found hers and it was jammed packed with princess stuff. YAY!!! So fun get girlie stuff for a change:)

Guess this proves I was there?!?! lol
If only I looked better for the day!

Poor Tanner was looking and looking for his basket. He couldn't find it anywhere. After Clint, Cody and Shane asked each other who hid it they realized that his was still in my parent's bedroom. Luckily, they side tracked him enough for them to hide it without him seeing. He had no ideal it was forgotten. Good Cover guys!
(I had no ideal this happened, lol! I just read it on Wendy's blog! Thanks Wends for remembering everything about that day!)

Troy needed a little help to get his!

Looks like Carter got his OK!
Good Job Buddy!

Rule #3: Enjoy the day with the family!

It's funny (at least to me) finding all of these pictures on my camera because I really do not remember ANYTHING from that day. Cody came over a while after and started talking about it and I thought he was kidding about the whole thing. It wasn't till I looked at these pictures did I finally believe him. Gees! That whole hospital thing took ALOT out of me:) Glad I'm better now!

That night, Troy set out their Easter Baskets for the Bunny to fill! He couldn't find Carter's so he wrote him a little note with instructions on where to leave Carter's stuff! LOL! Love that boy! And we couldn't forget the carrots and ranch!

The kids all LOVED what they got and I am soooo THANKFUL for the Bunny(s) this year for helping out and filling the baskets! I really means a lot to me!

Happy Easter!
