My Baby Sister
by
Tanner

My story is about my baby sister. Her name is Blakley Ann. She was born on April 28, 2009 at 5:50 pm. She weighed 6 pounds and 15 ounces. She was 20 1/2 inches long. She was born with black hair. I was very excited to see her for the first time.

She loves wearing pink. She is a little princess! I am excited to be her older brother! I can't wait to be older so I can tend her. I love to hold Blakley!

It is going to be fun having a little girl in my house. I am going to be nice to her. I am going to buy her a doll. I am going to teach her how to read, do math and other things. I love to play soccer! I want to teach her how to play. I will teach her to kick the ball hard. I hope she likes to run. I wish she could play with me now.

I am glad that Blakley is in my family. She is such a pretty girl! I love my baby sister. I will love her FOREVER!
BLAKLEY, WELCOME TO OUR FAMILY!!!

Memorial Day Celebration!

We have so much to be grateful for this Memorial Day! First of all, my mom was released from the hospital. YEAH!! She will be on antibiotics for another two weeks to make sure all of the bacteria is out of her blood and the infection is gone from her throat. She also has to take it easy and get plenty of fluid and lots of rest. Which is going to be really hard for her, she is a busy body who never sits down. Thank you to everyone who kept her in their prayers! They certainly were answered. THANK YOU!

We are very thankful for the family members who have passed away and for the time we had with them while they were here. We miss them dearly. We visited their graves and left some flowers on their headstone. The boys didn't quite get why we did this but they loved looking at all the flowers and being with Grandma Terra, Aunt Kimmi and their cousins Tristin and Clint.

It was also a big day for Carter. He learned how to ride a two-wheeler without training wheels. Way to go Carter! You are such a brave little boy.

Calling all angels!

Two days ago, my mom went to insta-care complaining of a sore throat and an ear ache. She was told that she had a viral infection and was sent home with some loratabs to take for the pain.

Yesterday, she seem worse so my dad loaded her up in the car and headed off to the hospital emergency room to get her looked at. Several hours and several tests later, we found out that her oxygen level was way low, she was dehydrated and she had low blood pressure. Plus, the CT SCAN showed that she has a bad bacteria infection in the back of her throat and in her glands. They hooked up an IV to pump some fluids through her and get some antibiotics going. She was admitted and was told she would be there for a couple of days.

Today, She doesn't really seem to be much better. They ran some more tests and her blood work has come back showing that the bacterial has entered into her bloodstream. This means that the infection is more serious then we thought. She will be treated the same way as she has been: fluids, antibiotics, and lots of rest. But the stay has been increased to some more days.

Cody, along with Clint, Shane and my dad, gave her the sweetest blessing this afternoon. I hope that it will lift her spirit because she seems pretty down right now. We are all praying for a quick recovery. She has given us all quite the scare.

PrEsChOOl GrAduAtIoN!

Today was Troy and Carter's Preschool Graduation! Yeah!! We made it through the school year. What a difference a year made with Troy. Last year we couldn't get him to go, but he loved it this year! I think it helped to have his best buddy Carter with him. He had to be the big brother and show him how much fun school was.

They had a program where they said the pledge of allegiance, counted to 100 by 5's and 10's, sang some of their favorite songs and received their diplomas. They both thought they were pretty big stuff in the graduation cap! Troy is ready to go to Kindergarten now and is counting down the days! Carter thinks he is done with school and doesn't need to go to preschool next year, Sorry Buddy we all ready signed you up.

Happy Mother's Day!

There is one day a year when we get to cherish the moms in our lives. One day when we get to tell them how thankful we are that they on our Mom. I am lucky that I have two wonderful people to cherish today! My Mom and Mother-in-law

My mom is one of the most thoughtful and giving people that I know. Most people are lucky to have their lives cross paths, even if it is just a short time, with someone who is such an angel. I have been blessed to have this angel as a mom. She has been such a blessing in my life and has taught me so much. I have an great example of what a mom should be. Thanks! I know that she has learned all that she knows from her mom. My grandma was one of a kind. With this being the first Mother's day with her here, I am sure that my mom is having a hard time. I can't imagine what my life would be like without my mom here. I love her and I am so grateful for everyday I get to spend with her. Never take anything for granted:) I love you Mom. Happy Mother's Day!

My mother-in-law is such an amazing person. She has been through so much in this life that would take out even the strongest of people, but she has hung on with a smile on her face. She is always cheerful and knows just what to say to make your day! She is a very thoughtful and giving person. I am thankful that she has raised such a incredible son. She has been there for him his whole life and for this I am thankful. I love you. Happy Mother's Day!

I am very grateful that I am a mom to my four little kiddos! I hope that by taking what I learn from these two special moms that I to can be a mom that my kids look up to. I love my kids more than anything!
