Ragnar 2011

Ragnar Baby!

Clint and "the team captain" Craig
Thanks Craig for organizing this!

These crazy people jumped into this sweet ride and did a lot of running, sweating, laughing, not much sleeping and having a blast. And they can't wait to do it again next year:)

Laurie and I went to the finish line to watch them cross. Such a different experience than being at the finish line at marathons. This was way laid back. No rushing to finish. No crippled people trying to finish those last few feet after killing themselves the last 26 miles. No passing out. No bleeding feet. There was lots of waving, clapping, high fives, laughing, and fun costumes!

Finish time 33:46:14

Clint surprised me and got us a place in Park City to stay over night.
Thanks babe! I love you!

There's only one Lagoon!

Every summer, Clint's work has a party for their employees. This year, it was held at Lagoon. My boys were more than EXCITED to go! We haven't been their since I was prego with Carter, so it has been awhile. You should have seen my boys eyes when we pulled into the parking lot. Can you talk about BULGING eyes?

Clint wasn't feeling good after running the Ogden Marathon that morning, so he stayed home and caught up on some much needed rest. Way to go Babe!! He wanted to quit after 20 miles, but he stuck with it and finished! Soooo proud of him:)

After running 26.2 miles, he's still SUPER HOT!

Thankfully, my parents came with us and we met up with Scoob and his cousin, Rachel and her Beau, Carlos. It was our first time meeting Rachel and Carlos. Super cute people! I loved listening to Rachel talk with her fun accent:)

Look how wet they all got!
There was no way I was getting on that ride:)

I wear my sunglasses at night.... lol

Yummy!

Thanks C4 for the awesome time!

Carter the Kindergarten Graduate!

He has the first year of elementary school under his belt. He did it! He survived! I'm sure the teachers are thankful that the year is now over, yet going to miss him like crazy. I'm sure he entertained them a lot, yet probably needed a little help in the listening department:) Regardless of how he was at school, he had a lot of fun and has grown up tons.

He learned:
to read
the pledge of allegiance
to sing the star spangled banner
memorized parts of Declaration of Indepence
to get along well with others
to have FUN at recess
to count to 100
to do homework
to count money
to write his first and last name
to follow directions

Wow! What a learning year for him!

They had a real ceremony complete with diplomas given out by the principal. Carter thought he was really BIG stuff.

Look how proud he is to have the diploma in his hand. He was beaming and grinning from ear to ear! It was so funny to watch him walk across the stage. If he could of ran and skipped across it, he would of:)

We really missed daddy. He was in San Francisco for a business trip. Luckily, grandma Sue got to come with us. Thanks mom!

Mrs. Brown

Teacher Aides
Ms. Emily, Ms. France and Ms. Wendy

My cute niece, Jessica, watched Blakley while I went to the program. (Thanks Jess, I was able to seat through the whole thing without getting up:)) While we were there, Jess and Blakley made Carter a candy necklace. That made the day complete!! He felt like he was big like the 9th grade graduates!

We survived Kindergarten! I am going to have such a hard time when school starts up again. He will be in school all day long with his brothers. I am going to miss him and so will Blakley. She follows him around all day long. We're going to be a little lost without him. Good Luck in 1st grade Buddy!

Tristin's Promotion!

My darling niece, Tristin, had her 9th grade promotion last month. She is going to be a big 10th grader next year!! I can't believe that she is old enough to be going to high school. Time flies by soooo fast! Pretty soon Tanner is going to be going to high school. AGHHHH! Now that freaks me out a little....OK a lot!

We made Tristin a candy necklace to wear for the night. We used all of her favorite candies (all fruity stuff skittles, jolly ranchers, starbursts....) Yummy! We didn't have to worry about anything melting this time. Grandma Terra brought her a beautiful bouquet of wild flowers, while Rob brought a dozen roses. Both were so PRETTY! She is one lucky girl!

What a darling family!
Still missing Kimmi though:(
Sure she was with them that night!

Thanks Tris for inviting us to your big night!
You looked absolutely Beautiful!
Have so much fun in high school!
10th grade watch out! Here comes our Trissy!

Looks who's becoming domestic!

Carter is always asking me when I am going to teach him how to iron his own clothes.
What better time than now! Right?
He did his shirt and shorts without a single burn!
Good Job Marty!
Just look how excited he is to put on the clothes afterwards.

Goblin Valley

We were invited to go camping at Goblin Valley with some of our favorite friends over memorial weekend. I'm not lying when I say I was more than a little nervous to head down there with my family. I had way to many people warn me that it is really hot this time of year, that there's no shade and no water......etc. I was expecting the worst. But I really wanted to go with everyone. We decided that we were going to go and make the best of it:)

I am so glad that we went. We all had such a great time. The weather couldn't have been any better (well except for the last day: the wind would not stop blowing). And thanks to this trip, I think I have Clint convinced that we NEED a trailer! I owe Brandi big time for this one:)

My boys loved:
going on all of the adventure hikes around the campground
finding cool rocks to bring home
cutting firewood (thanks Steve for letting them help)
getting dirty
being with their friends
playing hard from sunup to sundown
not being at home

The first day we headed out to a trail head just outside of Goblin Valley State Park. I think the trail was close to five miles round trip, which pretty much takes all day with kids! Most of the hike was wide open areas with some skinnier areas that you had to walk single file through. The very last part of the hike was pretty tight and you had to walk through water. Clint and Scoob thought it would be fun to scale the walls above everyone. Some of the areas got a little too wide and they had to put both of their feet on one side of the wall and both hands on the other. Crazy guys!!!

Blakley with "Uncle Boob"!

My sweet mother in law and Bruce came all the way down there to spend the day with us. They were planning on taking Blakley home with them, so we could enjoy a day without worrying about her. But when the time came, Blakley would not get in their car. Little Stinker! She was having way to much fun in the dirt. I was half tempted to go home with them though. I wasn't feeling too great. I ended up going to insta care when we got home. Turns out I had bronchitis induced asthma and a sinus infection. Really do grow-ups get sick like that???? lol

The next day, we packed up camp and went inside the state park for a day of running around, jumping off rocks, playing hide and seek, taking lots of pictures and having fun! What cool place this was. I loved all of the different rock formations.

I think Carter was a little disappointed that there wasn't any real goblins. He was really hoping to see some!

We wanted to take a picture of all of the kids up on these rocks. When they started climbing up on them we realized they weren't very safe so we made the dads go pose with them:) Luckily we didn't have any accidents!

I'm so thankful that Steve and Brandi planned such a fun trip for us.
Thanks everyone for the exciting weekend!
Do I hear Goblin Valley calling our names next year?

Tristin's Birthday!

It's our sweet Tristin's 15th Birthday!
It's time to party!
The BIG 15!
I can't believe she is already 15. I remember the day she was born. I started dating Clint just a couple weeks before she was born. I remember how excited he was to go see her at the hospital. He would tell me how cute she was and couldn't wait till I could meet her. When I finally got to see her, he hadn't lied she was a darling baby! It has been so fun watching her grow up. She is such a funny girl and has some of the most blond moments:) She is always making us laugh!

I made this cake for her!
Not to shabby for my first cake... lol
Don't look too close to the decorating:)

What goes better with cake than ice cream cones?

Tristin, We love you!
Happy Birthday!
