Tanner's big night.....

Tanner has been working so hard in cub scouts during the last year.  He wanted to be able to get all he could get done before turning 11 years old and moving into the boy scouts.  He did great!

March's Pack Meeting was quite the "Tanner Show."  He received lots rewards that night!

Faith in God Award
given to him by Bishop Murray

Webelos Award

(side note: Troy got welcomed into scouts tonight.  He is so excited to finally be a Cub Scout.)

Arrow of Light Arrow

This award was fun for the whole family.  We all got to take a turn painting his face with the paint.  He was even lucky enough to have his grandparents there to join in on the fun.

The finish product....not too bad for 1st timers!

This is the award that they leaders make for him to hang in his bedroom.

Tanner making the crossover from cub scouts to boy scouts.  Man Oh Man! My little boy is growing up!

Good Job Buddy on all the hard work you have done through out the last year!  Next step: Getting your Eagle!  We know you can do it!

Troy's Baptism

Troy got Baptized on March 24th.
It was such a great day to share with our family and friends.
To help prepare for the big day, we had a list of things to do.
1st on the list: Missionary Discussion
Our good friends invited us (along with some of the other kids getting baptized) over to their house to listen to the missionaries talk about the importance of Baptism.  Even though we go to church and my kids have learned about getting baptized, there is something special when they get to hear it from the missionaries.  The Elders had a really neat object lesson planned to go along with it.  I think the kids really enjoyed it.

2nd on the list: Pictures
My cute friend, Tori took Troy's pictures for us.  She is amazing and has such a eye for it!  We love her.  We lucked out with an awesome day with great weather to take pictures! Thanks Tori!

He was all smiles that day!  What a cutie pie!

 Choose the Right

3rd on the list: Get "Troy's table" ready for church entrance.
Simple I know. But it worked. We had all of guests sign the pages for his scrapbook.  I hope he will cherish these pages with his friends and family's names on them in his years to come.

4th on the list: Ask Troy who he wants to say a talk.
Troy got to choose someone from our family to give a talk about the Holy Ghost  He chose his Aunt Wendy!  She was so sweet to accept and did an AWESOME job.  She kept a great job keeping all of the kids attention.  That's hard to do when you have that many kids in a room. I could see a future Primary President here:)

When the big day came we were ready!

I am so proud of my little boy's decision to be baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  I hope that Troy will always remember this special day and the feelings he had.  I remember the day of my baptism.  I was lucky enough to be baptized on my 8th birthday.  Easy way to remember the date! I love you Troy!

Do I smell a fire?

Yes I do!!!

We are finally using our fire pit again.  One of the reason why I love Spring time!  The smell of campfires in the evening.  I think we would have a fire every night if we were home.

Tonight, we had Carson and Maddie join us.

Blakley Doo loves her friend Maddie
Maddie follows her around making sure she isn't doing anything she shouldn't be doing.  Now that I think about it, I think I need her down here full time.  Blakley is always doing something she shouldn't be doing :) My little Stinker!  Thanks Maddie for taking such good care of her.

It'S gReAt To Be EiGhT!!!

My little Troy Troy is 8! Where did the time go? I swear I was just coming home from the hospital yesterday with this little bundle of joy in my arms and now look at him.  He's Eight!!  He is such a sweet, tender-hearted, spunky, feisty, caring, giving, bright, talkative, funny, cuddly, smart, athletic, strong, determined little boy and I LOVE him to pieces.  I am so thankful that he is part of our family.  He can brighten up the room with his huge brown eyes, his darling smile and his cute freckles.  I love his freckles!

Looks like the Balloon Fairy made a visit to his room.  LUCKY BOY!  The kids are never sure what that sneaky fairy will do to their bedroom.  This time she hang balloons from the door frame and filled the floor with lots of tiny balloons.  It must have taken her lots of hours to fill them all up.  Good thing she had a helper! ;)

We threw him a friend party!  We had a backyard full of little boys doing what they do best.  Being wild and crazy!  Troy loved every minute of it and didn't want it to end.  We really lucked out with the weather.  YAY!

Hot Dogs, chips, drinks and smores
Great way to fill them up after all the playing they did.

A party wouldn't be a party without gifts right?
Troy made out like a bandit.  He got soooo many great gifts.  Gift cards, water guns, Jazz shirt, Steelers shirt, money, nerf guns, toys, games, treats....You would have thought it was Christmas!
Thank you boys!

Happy Birthday Troy!
We Love You!
xoxo
