My First 6k

I did it!

I have been thinking about doing a race for a while now.

Nothing big just a 5k or 10k.

I decided on the Wasatch Women's 6k.

I had so much fun!

Tonight, we had a Surprise Party for my niece Jessica! She turned 16!!! While she was out to dinner with her family, we decorated their house with lots and lots of balloons and waited for her to arrive.

Dear Jessica,

Today is a very special day for you. Your "sweet 16 and never been kissed" birthday! I know Lela wanted to make today special for you and has been planning it for a while. I think you have the greatest big sister ever! Your party was a complete success!

I so wish your mom could have been here to celebrate today with us. She always loved birthdays so much. I'm sure she's watching over you today and just beaming inside watching you grow up. She has got to be so proud of you. You are such a sweetheart. You are so talented and have accomplished so many things in the last 16 years. Keep up the good work:)

Thanks for letting us be part of your life. I think you are something else. I would love for Blakley to grow up to be just like you one day. Thanks for being such a good example to her and to my other kids. We all ADORE you! I love you so much!

Elder's Nate Home

After successfully serving a two year mission,

my cousin Nate came home today!!!

We couldn't be more excited for him and his family.

His cute family got together last night and made posters to welcome him at the airport.

Student of the week!

One student is chosen each week to be the

This week Troy was chosen.

He was so excited to come home and show us what he won.

Clint had his knee operated on this morning.

The doctor scoped out all of the torn cartilage out of his left knee.

The nurse came in and had to shave his leg.

When Clint was waking up from the surgery, he was quite the comedian.

"Everyone should have surgery."

"Wow, I feel good."

When we got home, he bribed Tanner to shave his other leg to match.

CaBiN TiMe!

We went on a little getaway to a cabin in Island Park with some of our friends. It seems like forever since we have been on an ADULTS ONLY trip! It puts a whole new meaning to VACATION :) What a blast!

They had a game room in the basement equipped with a pool table, foosball table, pinball machine and darts. Perfect place the guys to hang out!

We rented some canoes and got to ride down this beautiful river.

We went on a 10 mile round-trip hike to Coffin Lake.

What a butt kicker!

Glad we made it to the top.

We went on some great four-wheeler rides.

The girls took off one afternoon on them:)

And of course had to stop to take some pictures of the leaves.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that this is the first to many more trips!!! Thanks guys for the fun time :)

Then she preceded to climb onto the table.
