Farewell For Now!

The day after Jessica was set apart, we got to spend the morning with her and her family.  We met up at Kneaders for some yummy breakfast and then headed off to the Provo Temple grounds which is just across the street from the MTC.  We spent a few hours there talking and taking pictures.  It was so fun and yet surreal to spend the last couple of hours with her before she heads off to Ohio for 18 months!  Gosh we miss her so much!

Isn't she just the cutest missionary!

This tree is really special to us!  As we were walking around the temple grounds we came upon the tree.  We told her that we were going to hug this tree and think of her when we did.  We told her that we would send her pictures of us doing so throughout her mission.  I mean a tree is almost as good as hugging her right?!?!? ;) When she gets back, we are going to meet up at this tree and take more pictures together :)

We LOVE you Jess!!!
See you in 18 months!

A Night to Remember!

The night of Jessica's setting apart as a missionary was definitely a night I hope never to forget.  She invited her family and some of her closest friends to her house that night.  Her Stake President and her Bishop were the ones conducting the setting apart.  Her Bishop said a few sweet words about Jessica.  He and his wife are such great people.  They have ALWAYS been there for Jessica and Tristin.  I know that they have a big part in Jessica wanting to serve the Lord by serving a mission.  He then asked if anyone want to share their testimony with her.  I'm pretty most of the people there got up to say a little something.  I wish I would have bore my testimony at the beginning of the night because by the end of the night I was bawling and couldn't talk even though I wanted too.  After everyone had a chance to speak, her Stake President asked Jessica to bear her testimony.  He finished by saying a few words of advice before giving her the most beautiful blessing.  The spirit we all felt that night was so strong.  I know that she is going to be a great Missionary.  She is going to bring so much joy into the lives of those that will listen to the message she will be sharing.

Sister Christensen

My darling niece Jessica had her farewell in November!  She did a fantastic job on her talk.  She's a natural when it comes to speaking in front of people.  Her mom would be so proud of her.  I'm sure she was looking down from Heaven with a huge smile on her face :)  She had lots of people there to fill the benches in the church. Her house afterwards was filled to the brim with friends and family!  Everyone just LOVES this girl so much.

Looking back on June

Yay!  I'm finally blogging about what happened in our lives during the month of June.  I didn't think I would ever get to here.  I'm still so far behind.  If only there were 48 hours in a day:)

Looking through our pictures made me realize just how crazy busy June really was for us.  But oh we make lots of good memories.  The first part of the month was filled with year end school activities.  We were so excited that school was getting over and our summer was about to start.  First off, my beautiful niece Jessica graduated from Murray High School.  Go Spartans!  I can't believe that she is old enough to be finished with high school.  She should still be five years old.
She reminds me so much of her mom.  Such a gorgeous girl.

Carter and Troy both made the principals list the fourth quarter.  They were both recognized in the last assembly of the year.  Way to go guys!

Last day of school for my boys.  Tanner says goodbye to 6th grade and elementary school.  Troy says goodbye to 3rd grade and Carter says goodbye to 2nd grade.  They all did so good in school last year.  I couldn't have asked for better teachers for them!

It was free dress day! Carter's class made these tie-dyed shirts to wear.  They all got to sign each other's shirts with markers.  Much funner than signing a yearbook.

Clint ran the Utah Valley Marathon!  Really?!?  I am so proud of this man!  I can't imagine running 26.2 miles.... My Hero!

My cutest cousin Nate got married to Mykaleen!
Congrats guys!

Our baseball season came to an end.  Carter and Troy both decided to play this year and we couldn't have been more happy!  I LOVE BASEBALL!  It was so fun to watch their improvement during the year.  Troy played on the Angels.  His team took second place. Way to go Troyster!

Check out the size of that trophy!

Carter played for the Diamondbacks.  His team didn't place in the top 3 this year.  BUT he did make the Pee-wee Allstar team.  Hip Hip Hooray!!!  Which meant my baseball game watching wasn't quite over yet:)

We celebrated Father's Day with our world's best dads!  I love that we have a day to spoil the good dads in our lives.  They deserve it.
I couldn't have hand picked a greater dad for my kids!!
We love him so much!

Great Grandpa Ted

I love my dad and brothers!  And of course my grandpa.

Welcome the newest member of our family!

My darling niece Lela got married to the man of her dreams, Moses!
Made for each other:)

Lela had four handsome boys waiting for her to come out of the temple.  My three boys and her little brother, Clint.  Everyone loves her so much!

Tanner got to go do baptisms for the dead for the first time.  I had the privilege of going with him.  With four temples really close to us, I let him choose which temple her wanted to go to.  He chose the Draper Temple.  I was thrilled because I had never been to that one.  It is such a pretty temple.  I am so thankful that I got to share this special time with him.  Love my Tan the man!

June 2013 was a GREAT month for my family!  I am so blessed with a family that I adore more than anything.  I am thankful for all of the good times that we shared together.  I am one lucky wife and grateful mom. xoxo
