CaLiFoRniA dAy 4, 5, & 6

Our last three days in Cali consisted of Disneyland, California Adventure, Disneyland and then more time at California Adventure.  We kept going back and forth between the two parks.  I think we hit every ride we wanted and then some.  We wore our little kids out.  They would all fall into bed each night totally exhausted!

Scoob and his mom, Kathy

Blakley started the day at like this.....

But soon looked like this......
It was way too hot to be dry:)

We wore LOTS of CRAZY hats!

Got some tattoos!
Did LOTS of swimming!

And loved every bit of our trip!
We are already talking about going back....maybe to Disney World though!

Of course, we had to take pictures on the famous old chair on our drive home!

Knott's Berry Farm

I haven't been to Knott's Berry Farm since I was a little kid. We thought it would be fun to take the kids there. We choose the perfect day to go. I think there were maybe 200 people in the whole park. There weren't any lines to wait in. We got to walk onto every ride.

The only tears shed that day were by Carter and Troy because they weren't tall enough to go on some of the SCARY roller coasters. They really wanted to go on every ride there. Poor boys! Over all though GREAT DAY!

Montezooma's Revenge

Tanner and Carter are in the 2nd from the top row and Grandpa and Troy are in the 2nd from the bottom row. This was their favorite ride. It think they did this at least a dozen times.

DISNEYLAND

On Day 2, we made our way to Disneyland! Yay!! The main reason why we planned this trip. To say our family LOVES Disneyland is a little bit of an understatement! If we could go to Disneyland or Disney World on every trip, my kids would still beg to go more often.

During the kids fall break, we decided to take a week long trip to Cali to visit one of our favorite places ever.....Disneyland! Woo woo!

We got to California early in the day and had the afternoon to kill so we drove to Newport Beach and Balboa Island. My kids have never seen the ocean before. They were so excited! Looking through these pictures makes me want to go back REALLY bad!

We got to take the Balboa Ferry to the island.

Looks like Scoob is having a good time on the beach! lol

Here are a couple of pictures from the long, long, long drive:) We took a lot of stops to entertain the kids along the way. Petting zoo, parks, gas stations, rest stops....you name it we stopped there:)

We picked up my Aunt Marilyn in Las Vegas on the way!! We were so glad that she could spend the week with us. We love her!

Don't do it buddy!

St. George Marathon

I know I am way behind on my blog BUT better late than never right? I seems like we have one thing after another going on and I just can't keep up. I want things to slow down but with the holidays creeping up on us I don't see that happening anytime soon. A girl can always hope though!

The weekend of General Conference, Clint ran his 4th and final marathon of the year. He ran the St. George Marathon! YAY! YAY! YAY! What a FUN race to be at. Being at the finish line, I realized that this race is like no other race I have been to. The fans that are lining the streets seem like they are covering the last five miles of the race. I have never seen so many people at one race.

And what an emotional event! I found myself tearing up several times watching people cross the finish line. I asked Clint later on that day how he doesn't get emotional when he nears the end. I know for a fact that I would be bawling if I were the runner and had just finished 26.2 miles and was about the cross the finish line. I would be a wreck:)

3:38:37

What a accomplishment! He truly is an amazing person. He is such a determined man. When he puts his mind to something, there's no stopping him. He wanted to do four marathons and that's just what he did. It says a lot about a person who is willing to train and push themselves like no other. Good Job babe! I am so LUCKY to have you as my man! Love you!

Since Tanner was off track and the other two boys were still in school, he got to go down with us. It was fun to hang out with just him for a few days. It has been a long time since he has gotten to feel like a only child:) Thanks to my sweet mom for watching our other three kiddos!

On a little side note: While we were down there for the weekend, we went and saw the greatest movie! I think every parent (especially dads) should go and see this. Just make sure to take your tissues along. It is a tear jerker!
