Elder Lindquist's Farewell

Oh my!  Oh my!  Oh my!  How is my little cousin Caden even old enough to go on a mission already?  Seriously!!! He shouldn't be this old.  He received his Mission call to Argentina back in the summer.  He had his farewell in the middle of October and left to the MTC shortly afterwards.

He did such a great job speaking at his farewell.  The spirit was very strong and you could just feel his excitement to go and serve the Lord.  He lives the Gospel to the fullest.  I am so glad that my boys have someone like him to look up to and to follow in his footsteps.

Here are some pics from his farewell:

Good Luck Elder Lindquist!  You're going to be an excellent missionary.  We love you very much!  See you in two (long) years!

Carter's Baptism

The first Saturday in May was a very special day for our family.  Carter chose to be baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!  This kid was so excited for this day.  He had watched his two older brothers and several of his cousins be baptized and was counting down the days.

Carter chose his dad to baptize him.
He looks up to his daddy so much!

Aunt Wendy made this awesome Baptism towel for Carter.  Along with this little poem about the towel.  She is so talented!  I love that he has something that he can keep and use daily to remind him of this special day.

Carter and Bishop Murray
We love Bishop Murray!!  Seriously the greatest Bishop out there!  He had the sweetest things to say about Carter and great advice for the rest of us.  Such a HERO in my boys eyes.

Carter was lucky enough to have his own baptism!  It was really surprising considering all of the kids in our ward turning eight this year.  Being the only kid being baptized that day meant we had to do the whole program.  My family was so sweet to step up and help us out.  He asked my dad and my grandpa to be the two witnesses.

Of course afterwards we had to have a big luncheon to celebrate!!!  What can I say, my family loves food:)  I am so thankful for all of our family and friends who came to make this day special for Carter!  He is one in a million and we love him to pieces!

Tanner cannot be this old....

I cannot believe that my first born baby boy is already 12 years old.  Seriously?!? I just barely had him.  The time seems to be flying by WAY TOO FAST!  I am not liking it at all.  I want to stop the clock and take some time to enjoy life.  I want my kids to stay little and not grow up anymore.

This past April when Tanner turned 12 years old he was able to receive the Aaronic Priesthood.  On the Sunday after General Conference, we were able to meet with Bishop Murray to have him set apart.  He wanted his grandparents to come with us to the setting apart.  Such a special day!

Since this fell on fast Sunday, he was also able to go around with Clint to collect fast offerings afterwards.

My baby boy is now a Deacon and can serve the sacrament.  He has been wanting to be able to do this for so long.  I am so excited for him.  I love watching him on Sundays with his white shirt and tie on serving the sacrament bread and water to the ward members.  Puts a big smile on my face.
