OK so it is taking FOREVER to update my blog!  Like FOREVER!  I'm now blogging the last part of March.  YAY!!  Only six more months till I'm up to date!  Piece of cake right?!?!?

This year for Easter, it was our turn to throw the family party.  On the Saturday before Easter, we decided to have the party at in our house.  Benefit of sharing a backyard with my parents. No fence between us means extra big yard!

Minus Cody and Wendy's kids (they were on vacation) and Carter (he was lying on the ground behind the couch). Leave it to Carter!

Mom's 60th Birthday!

The weekend before my sweet mom turned 60, we decided to surprise her with a girls weekend getaway!  We woke up early Saturday morning and headed up to Park City to get breakfast at Kneaders. YUM!  After breakfast, we headed over to the outlets to do us some shopping. After a fun day hitting every store, we ended up spending the night in Midway.

Just the girls~ Me, my mom's cousin DeAnn, her daughter Emily, Emily, Wendy and my mom

Love how Em's trying to cop a feel.

I'm pretty sure we did our fair share of spending money.  Look at all the bags!  CRAZY!

While we were gone, the boys at home decorated her house with signs, balloons and streamers.  Plus had dinner in the oven.  Good job boys!

My sweet grandpa gave my mom a glass storm door to go with her front door.  He got her a card and then drew a picture of the door that he was getting her.  What a cute man!  She was so HAPPY!  She has wanted a glass door for so long.

Can you believe that he is 93 years old???

I couldn't get my mom to look at me:)

All of the grandkids with their awesome grandma!

Happy Birthday Mom!
I am so glad that we were able to get away for a little bit from our crazy lives to laugh and have fun with you.  Don't worry we are already planning another trip for next year... (San Francisco, St. George, Vegas.. Decisions! Decisions!) You do so much for us without ever expecting something back in return.  You are such a giving person.  I am very thankful to have you in my life.  Love you tons!
XOXO

Troy's Not-So-Much-Of a Party

On the weekend after Troy's big day, we were planning to have our families over to celebrate.  While we were getting things ready, we started a campfire in our fire pit out back. We had some of those metal marshmallow roasting sticks next the fire.  Troy reached down to grab one not realizing that it was one that had been in the fire already and burned his hand pretty bad.  I ended up taking him to InstaCare to get it looked at.  Poor Boy!  He was trying so hard to be tough but you could tell that he was in PAIN!

Carter tagged along with us.  He kept us entertained with his CRAZINESS! Thanks buddy for helping Troy take his mind off of his pain. You really helped him smile:)

We actually got him to smile for a picture!  I think the pain medication was kicking in!

 OUCHIE!

All taken care of!

We were still able to make it home for a fun party.  Too bad I didn't get one picture of the fun part. I think my mind was too caught up in the "what ifs" with his accident. I'm so thankful that he was only burned as bad as he was. Could have been so much worse.  Makes me sick to think about it.

Troy's Birthday!

I can't believe my little Troyster turned 9 this year! Nine years old! What?!?!  On March 8th, my Troyer turned 9! How is that even possible?
His morning started off with the annual visit from the Balloon Fairy! SURPRISE!

Later that night, we celebrated over at my parent's house with Panda Express (Troy's choice) and some presents!

Can't tell you how much I LOVE this little boy of mine!

He made out like a Bandit!
Baseball bag, bat, helmet, cleats, batting gloves and some balls!  Looks like he is ready for the season to start!

Love my family so much!

Troyster, I am so proud of the boy that you are growing up to be.  You are such a tender boy.  You are always so aware of others feelings and care about them.  You are always so willing to help your dad and me out with whatever we need.  I love how you take care and look after your brothers and sister.  You are such an great example to them.  I love how your little smile and bright eyes can brighten up anyone. I love you to the moon and back!
Happy Birthday Buddy!

Let's remember February...

Oh my! Why do I do this to myself?  I have problems remembering what happened yesterday not alone months ago. Good thing I have pictures to help me remember.

My beautiful niece, Tristin, had her Jr. Prom. I can't believe that she is old enough to be going to Jr. Prom!  Clint and I had just started dating when she was born and now look at her all grown up.  We are so proud of the girl that she has become.  She is such a darling, bubbly girl inside and out.  Love her to pieces!

She rocked out her dress!
What a babe!

Valentines Day

Cute Tanner made his own Valentine's box this year.  I really liked what he came up with.  Creative little man!

Troy's class made their own Valentine's bags at school so he didn't want to make a box. Tanner helped Carter with his box though.  When I say helped I mean take his own box from last year and making some changes to it.  He cracks me up.  Carter didn't seem to care that it was a hand me down and loved it all the same:)

We got LOTS of treats from our family and friends delivered to our door that night! YUM!

Troy had to make a simple machine for a school project.  He made this little invention all by himself.  What a little stud.  He got an A on the project.  So proud of the hard work that he put into it.

We try to take our kids on one-on-one dates with either Clint or myself every month.  February was Carter's turn.  He got to go to a Utah Jazz basketball game with Clint.  You can hardly tell he was excited to go... He put on everything he own that was Jazz. He loved getting all the attention from his dad.  I really hope that my kids always want to spend one-on-one time with us (even when they get older).  They are growing up way too fast:( I want to cherish the time we have with them.

The last week of February we had great weather.  Anything above 40 degrees and my kids think it is summer.  We were so ready for some fun in the sun.  Shooting hoops! Playing baseball! Rides bikes! What more can kids ask for?

Oh yeah! Don't think your shades!

I am sure that I am missing tons of events that happened this month, but I least I got as many as I did!!! Yay me!  On to March!
