St. George Marathon

I am more than two months behind on my blog...
When does life ever slow down long enough for me to catch up???  If I ever want to get caught up, I might have to skip some events or combine a few into one post.  Either way = No fun!

Back in October, over General Conference weekend, Clint, his mom, Troy, Carter and I went to St. George to watch him to run his 4th and final Marathon of the year!!!  Four marathons in one year.....REALLY?!?!? What can I say?? He's Amazing:)

We headed down Thursday night, so we could hang out and have some fun on Friday.  Poor Clint though woke up with some kind of stomach flu and spent the ENTIRE day in bed.  I really can't imagine how he recovered enough to run the next day.  He's a trooper!

So that left Terra and I spending the day at the pool watching the boys swim. What a hard life ;)

Oh and of course reading.....

Picking up his packet the night before the race.
First time out of bed all day.

He even came and hung out with me later that night while I worked out.  He's such a good sport.  I know he REALLY wanted to go back to bed.

Troy was lucky that the Tooth Fairy was able to find us on vacation!

I love how excited the boys get watching out for their daddy.

And he finishes!!!

Not too shabby!
You would have never guessed he was sick the day before.

Clint with one of his BIGGEST supporters!
His mom
He's such a momma's boy... I LOVE it!

It's tradition to stop at this gas station and sit in the HUGE rocking chair.

While Mom's Away the Kids Will Play.....

While I was recharging my batteries with a girl's weekend, Clint and the boys had their own little weekend away.  They hit the sand dunes. They couldn't stop talking about it when they got home.

 Rob and the boys

Daddy and his 3 boys

Tanner and Troy

Scoob and Carter

The whole gang including the Christianson boys.

And while the boys were off doing boy things....
Miss Blakley was getting spoiled by her Grandma Terra and her cousin Lela.  LUCKY GIRL!  They took her to Gardner Village to see all the witches.

Looks like it was a WIN, WIN situation for everyone!
I HEART weekends like that.

Girls Trip~

Back in September, My mom, my sister-in-laws Emily and Wendy and I went over to Denver to spend a weekend with my Aunt Marilyn and my cousin Brittany.  They invited us to their Stake Conference where my ALL TIME FAVORITE apostle Jeffrey R. Holland was going to be speaking.  I was so excited to go over there for some girl time with my favorite girls and to be spiritually lifted with the words of Elder Holland.

We had some time to waste at the airport before taking off.

My Aunt's new house is so stinkin cute.  She has done such a fabulous job decorating it and getting it just right.  I wish I would have taking pictures of it to show off and of course to get some decorating tips from.  I did get some funny pics of her HUGE bathtub.  You could have quite the party in it:)

On Saturday, we went shopping, Shopping, and more SHOPPING!  I think we hit just about every store in the Denver area.  It was so nice being able to be gone all day long without having kids with us.  We could take as long as we wanted in each store, eat when and where we wanted, and chat our hearts outs without any interruptions:) So nice!

Wendy and her healthy snacks!

After a YUMMY lunch at Paneras!
Why oh Why don't we have a Panera in Utah???
We went and saw a movie.

I really liked this one!

And then we did some more shopping!!!  I really don't think we could have bought one more thing or else our suitcases wouldn't fit on the airplane.

I love these girls!  We laughed so hard!

On Sunday, we got up really early to head over to the church and get a place in line.  They  were only letting so many people into the building.  It was being broadcast to two or three other wards but we really wanted to be able to see him in person.

I believe they had 1000 tickets to hand out.  I was #64 in line!  We had to wait for 3+ hours for the meeting but it was worth every minute.

After the meeting was over, he stood in the foyer and shook everyone's hands on their way out.  I was so neat to be able to shake his hand.  Of course, I couldn't help myself and had to pull out my phone to snap some pictures.

My cousin shaking his hand!!

We had to head to the airport shortly after the meeting.  Poor Em was sooo tired.  She doesn't sleep very well when she is away from home.  She needs another vacation just to catch up on her sleep.

I love these girls so much!  I am very thankful for them and love spending time with them!  We are already planning our next girls trip:)
