Girls Trip~

Back in September, My mom, my sister-in-laws Emily and Wendy and I went over to Denver to spend a weekend with my Aunt Marilyn and my cousin Brittany.  They invited us to their Stake Conference where my ALL TIME FAVORITE apostle Jeffrey R. Holland was going to be speaking.  I was so excited to go over there for some girl time with my favorite girls and to be spiritually lifted with the words of Elder Holland.

We had some time to waste at the airport before taking off.

My Aunt's new house is so stinkin cute.  She has done such a fabulous job decorating it and getting it just right.  I wish I would have taking pictures of it to show off and of course to get some decorating tips from.  I did get some funny pics of her HUGE bathtub.  You could have quite the party in it:)

On Saturday, we went shopping, Shopping, and more SHOPPING!  I think we hit just about every store in the Denver area.  It was so nice being able to be gone all day long without having kids with us.  We could take as long as we wanted in each store, eat when and where we wanted, and chat our hearts outs without any interruptions:) So nice!

Wendy and her healthy snacks!

After a YUMMY lunch at Paneras!
Why oh Why don't we have a Panera in Utah???
We went and saw a movie.

I really liked this one!

And then we did some more shopping!!!  I really don't think we could have bought one more thing or else our suitcases wouldn't fit on the airplane.

I love these girls!  We laughed so hard!

On Sunday, we got up really early to head over to the church and get a place in line.  They  were only letting so many people into the building.  It was being broadcast to two or three other wards but we really wanted to be able to see him in person.

I believe they had 1000 tickets to hand out.  I was #64 in line!  We had to wait for 3+ hours for the meeting but it was worth every minute.

After the meeting was over, he stood in the foyer and shook everyone's hands on their way out.  I was so neat to be able to shake his hand.  Of course, I couldn't help myself and had to pull out my phone to snap some pictures.

My cousin shaking his hand!!

We had to head to the airport shortly after the meeting.  Poor Em was sooo tired.  She doesn't sleep very well when she is away from home.  She needs another vacation just to catch up on her sleep.

I love these girls so much!  I am very thankful for them and love spending time with them!  We are already planning our next girls trip:)

Murray's Homecoming

My two beautiful nieces on the day of their homecoming dance.

Jessica

Tristin

Blakley and I went over to their house to watch them get ready for the dance. When the boys came to pick them up, Blakley wasn't to sure what was going on.  She thought she was going to the dance with them.  She even got ready in her Tangled dance!!! lol

"Why can't I go to the dance?"

Blakley Doo starts preschool!

My baby girl started her first year of preschool. sniff sniff
How can she be old enough to be in preschool??  She's my baby. She couldn't have been more excited, though.  She gets to go with her cousin Bentley! WIN! And she gets to have her favorite nursery song leader Ms. Hillary as her teacher! DOUBLE WIN!  She thinks she's pretty big stuff now.  She picked out her very first pink backpack, which is about the size of her.  We tried to get her to get something smaller but couldn't talk her out of it.  Her mind was made up:)

She missed her first day of school because she was just getting over hand, foot and mouth disease.  Aghhhh! Hope to never see that disease in this house again:(  But she was ready to go by the 2nd day.  I walk her to the preschool and has expecting a little hesitation from her BUT nope nothing!  She marched right in there and didn't look back.  I was a little sad but oh so happy that she was going to be OK without me.  I miss her when she's gone.  She's become my little side kick, now that the boys are in school.  I love to see her face lite up when we pick her up.  And oh boy does she get excited to show you what she did that day.

Love my little girl so much!!!!

Here comes trouble......

This little girl of mine loves bath time.  Well, as long as she can just relax in it and doesn't have to rush through it.  Like mother like daughter!

Silly girl!
Don't let the cute face fool you:)

On this particular night, I got her out of the bath and got her ready for bed before heading downstairs.  She comes down a little bit later and is telling me she wants a treat.  Not unusual with her....she is my treat-a-holic!!! Anyways, after 10-15 mins I run upstairs and hear my shower running.  I go into my bathroom to find this......

My sweet little girl has turned the shower on and thrown in some towels to clog the drain.  Couple more minutes and it would have been over the top of the shower base and onto the floor.  Wow!! Close call.  Good thing we stopped it in time.

Park City Marathon

26.2 MILES

My philosophy
Driving it: no problem.
Running it: NO WAY IN HELL!
I'm not sure why people like to run that many miles at one time.  But I sure do admire those that can.

Clint's philosophy
Why drive it why you can run it!

It has been so fun supporting Clint on all of his marathons.  There is nothing like standing at the finish line cheering the runners on.  I get teary eyed every race.  Rather it be watching the ones struggling to get to the finish line or the ones who look around the crowd for their cheerleaders and their eyes light up when they finally find them. And of course every time I see Clint coming towards the line.  I am so proud of him! I know that marathons aren't easy but he just seems to make them look like they are.

Finish Time: 4:01:31
