My little Twilight Man

Carter: (while wrestling Troy) "Troy, get off me! You're not my soul-mate!"
Mom: "Hey Carter, do you know what a soul-mate is?
Carter: "Yeah"
Mom: "OK, who's mom's soul-mate?"
Carter: "DAD! But when Dad dies then Edward will be your soul-mate."

Carter is my little Twilight lover. He LOVES the movie and it makes his day when you sit down and watch it with him. He knows all of the characters by name, but his favorite is JACOB. He wants to become a werewolf one day. OH NO! The other day, he was sitting in his room watching a movie and he felt warm. I asked him if he felt OK because he was getting warm. His face just lit up and he said "it's cuz I'm Jacob." Oh Silly Carter!

We love you!

Lesson Learned...Hopefully!

Lately, it seems like our boys have been extremely whiny about everything and anything. It seems like when they want something, they want it right then. And work for it...are you kidding? Well even though, Clint and I are to blame for the way are kids are. Tonight, we finally had enough! Clint sat Tanner down and talk to him about the importance of being thankful. He sent him to his room afterwards to think about what they talked about and to write a list of things he was grateful for. After a little bit, this is what he came downstairs with:

Tanner's letter in his own words:

Tanner's things hes thankfall for,

I am thankfall for my family, my tv, my close (clothes), my shirt, my shoes, my XBOX, my books, my home, my cars, my toys, my money, my dad, my mom, my school, my yard, my bikes, my bed, my bathroom, my food, my movies, my frij (fridge), my body, the C4 sistum (system), and how you are so so so nice to me, and I am thankful for the bills you pay and my pants and the things that you buy for me and the things you do for me. When I really think how cool of parents I got it just shocks me and you probly say "we are not that good" but you really are the best ever to walk the earth and I have the best brothers and sister in the world. But when I say things are bad about you I still love you and I am so so so sorry for being so unthankfall and I would go across the world for you and our family. I love you guys so so so so so much that I can't even tell you.

Love Tanner P

Tanner~You are such a sweet boy! I love the letter that you wrote to us tonight. I think our whole family needs to try a little harder to be more thankful. Let's all work harder on that -k-
I love you tons! xoxo Mom

Baby Kenli Arrives

BABY KENLI
8 lb. 6 oz.
21.5 inches
Born at 2:00 pm
7/27/10

Congrats to Wendy and Cody for the arrival of their perfect little baby girl, Kenli. She is absolutely beautiful! Perfect in every way. And you should see all of the dark hair that she has.

I am so excited that we have another girl in our family! Blakley needs someone to play girlie things with in the future. Now if only we could get Shane and Em to have another baby....who knows maybe we could have 3 girls in the family:)

Love you Kenli!

Idaho

Over the past weekend, we made a long road trip to Idaho to visit some of Clint's family. It has been too long since we have been there. We got to see Grandma Neoma, Aunt Linda, Cousins Anna and Paul and Anna's little boy, Brenen. It was so fun to hang out with them.

While we were there, we found this awesome park. It had huge playgrounds, rock climbing walls, swings, splash pads, and a pond. It even had a little hot dog and snow cone stand. The kids loved it.

Blakley discovered the Water Splash Park! She was in Heaven:)

Carter loved the rock climbing walls. When we first got there, he climbed to the top and jumped right off. Leave it to Carter! My little Dare Devil:)

Troy loved them too!

Great-Grandma Neoma and Grandma Terra

The kids loved swimming every chance they got in the hotel pool. It was open 24 hours. How fun is that?

I am so glad that we made the trip to see Clint's grandma. We all just love her! She was so excited to see her great grandkids. I think we made her day(s)!

Who's Birthday!

Even though Tanner, Troy and Carter's birthdays were in March and April we never got around to having a friend birthday party for them. We had it scheduled twice but things came up both times. Any who, we finally decided to throw them a birthday party this past weekend. Since it was about a thousand degrees, we decided to have a water themed party.

We had water sponge relay races!

We played water kickball!

We soaked in our sweet huge pool! lol

The kids turned their water balloon fight into "let's get Clint wet."

Oh and Shari, too!

Cute Maddie made it her priority to take care of Blakley. She is going to make a great mom one day:)

Everyone got to take a chance at whacking 'Ol Sponge Bob!

Nice teeth boys!
Remind me to make a dentist appointment for you two.

Then while we had donuts and popsicles, the boys got to open all of their presents. They were spoiled rotten!

I am so glad that we decided to go through with their party. They had a blast with all of their friends. Maybe the next party will actually be closer to their birthdays and not months later:)

GIRLS TRIP!!!!

My three nieces, my Mother-in-Law and I planned a girls trip to St. George to celebrate Lela's 20th Birthday!!! My mom couldn't make it this time, but next time for sure. RIGHT MOM???

On Friday night, we went to Tuacahn and saw Tarzan.
One Word: AMAZING!
I had never been to Tuacahn before and I can't wait to go again.

We took pictures with Jane, Tarzan and Little Tarzan.
Jessica is in love with Tarzan! She was so excited to be standing next to him in this picture.

SILLY GIRLS:)

The girls woke up early on Saturday morning and went and did Baptisms for the dead in the St. George Temple. What a gorgeous temple. It is so white and so beautiful!

We went back later that night after a yummy dinner and walked the temple grounds and took more pictures.

On our last night, we hung out in the condo and played games and watched movies. I don't think I have laughed that hard in a really long time.

Highlights from our trip:
Shopping, Shopping and more Shopping
Tarzan in a loin cloth
the "WORM"
Water bending in the pool
Movie theater accident
Singing our hearts out in the car
Talking to my man and kids on the phone

Thanks Girls for the really fun trip! You all hold such a special place in my heart! I really hope that we turn this into a yearly thing:)
