Troy's Field Trip

Troy's class had their year end field trip scheduled to go to the zoo. He was so excited to go! When he brought home his permission slip, he just kept asking me if I would go with him. I took full advantage because I know before long he will be hoping that I don't go. Carter, lil' Clint and I meet him there. I also let Tanner sluff half a day from school to come with us. Troy was so happy to see all of us there waiting for him when he got off of the bus.

I just love the next two pictures...
Here they are waiting for the gigantic elephant to sneeze.
Check out Tanner's excited face:)

Ahhhhhhh-Chew!
Ewww Gross

Carter was a little skeptical to stick his head inside of the lion's mouth to get a drink!

Let me tell you a little about a day at the zoo with Carter. When we were sitting down eating our lunch, I got distracted talking to Clint on my cell and didn't notice him wonder off. Next thing I know I look over and see Carter climbing down the back side of a 12 foot fence. YES 12 Feet!! Not only was it tall but there were spikes on top of it. Seriously I think I had a mini heart attack! I yelled for him to climb back over which he did in all of 2 seconds. He definitely is a Spider Monkey! When he was safe on the ground next to me I told him that he could have been attacked by a bear or something. I forgot I still had Clint on the phone until I heard him laugh and ask "Did you really just tell your 5 year old that he would be attacked by a bear if he climbed over that fence again?" No words! I thought I got my point across to Carter until I caught him trying to climb some more fences to get a closer look at the monkeys. Later that night, while I was putting him to bed he said "Mom, I just want to work at the zoo liff (with) the animals when I grow up."

Tanner and Clint acting way to cool for a picture.

What good-lookin boys!

Troy~ I am so glad that I was able to go to the zoo with your class. It was so nice of Grandma Sue to help me out and watch Blakley. I wanted to spend some time with just my boys. You boys were so much fun to hang out with. I love you all so much! xoxo mom

Tanner's Field Trip

Tanner's year end field trip was scheduled to go to the Aquarium. Tanner called me that morning from school to let me know that he told his teacher that I was going and to come to the school in a hour. I just love it when my kids plan my day for me:) Luckily, Grandma Sue was free to watch Blakley for me! (one less kid I would be in charge of) I put Troy and Carter in the car and we were off to the Aquarium.

It was the first time for any of my kids to be there. They each loved different things: Carter loved listening to the Pirate tell stories, Troy loved being shocked by the eel and Tanner loved the string rays.

Tanner, Troy and Kai

"We're not worthy!"

"Mommy, Look I'm a Baby jurl (girl) penguin like Blakley"

"Look I am like Bentley!"

"Am I like me?"

"Now I am a daddy one!"

There was a sign posted on how to pet the sting rays using your two fingers. Carter was using his two fingers alright, using them to poke them. Seriously kid! He is always testing your limits:)
Yes, we're big into the bunny ear phase!
Silly Kids

CAMPING

Every spring, my family gets together and goes on their annual camping trip. We have been going to the same campgrounds since I was a little girl. I have so many great memories from all of our trips and I hope that we are making the same memories for my kids.

Lela, Jessica, Tristin and Clint got to come with us, too.
We sure LOVE them!

Uncle Bobby and Aunt Jo

Shane Dawg and Mr. Benson

Brooks aka "Mr. Scary"

Codes and Wends

Bentley sure loved it up there.

We set up a kiddie pool to let the kids play in. Carter and Brooks loved it. Check out the hand holdin'..... Best Buddies for sure!

We took the kids to the Hot Springs. When we got there, Blakley insisted on sitting with her daddy in the car. It was way too hot outside. I couldn't blame her.

The kids got to ride in the back of the truck. They were in heaven:)

Nothing like going to see the Hot Springs in the middle of the hot day.
I want to go back in the winter when I can get in:)

Every year, we line the kids up (usually in age) and take a picture. It is fun to see the changes from year to year. This year we added Baby Avery!!! Last year we added Blakley:)

What a group of good lookin' (and dirty) kids!

What a fun tradition! I hope we continue this one for sure:)

Troy's Kindergarten Program

Troy had his end year Kindergarten Program on June 4th. He kept calling it his graduation so we treated it like it was. We went out and bought him a snazzy new outfit. He was Mr. Too Cool for School! We invited his cousins Lela, Jessica and Tristin to come and watch.

They sang a bunch of fun songs like: "ABC Rap", "The Three Little Pigs", the "Rainbow Song", the "Thank You Song" and "Skinamarink." Troy sang his little heart out!

Afterwards, we asked him where he wanted to go to lunch????
Panda Express was his answer (of course...I should have known)

Troy and Mrs. Wood
He Loved having her for his teacher!

I can't believe my baby boy just finished Kindergarten. It is not even possible that he is that old already. He is so ready for 1st grade. Good Luck Buddy:)

Jessica's Graduation

My sweet niece, Jessica, had her 9th grade promotion on June 2nd. She is going to be a big 10th grader next year!!! I can't believe she is old enough to be going into high school. Wow time flies by! I can remember meeting her for the 1st time when she was just a toddler and now look at her.
Lela and I made her the candy necklace that she wore that night. We tried to make it with all of her favorite candy....all chocolate! That a Girl! Too bad it was so hot in the auditorium that it all melted:) Nothing a hour in the freezer won't fix though! Grandma Terra bought her a pretty corsage that matched perfectly.
What a darling family!
We sure missed you Kimmi.

Thanks Jess, for letting us come and watch!
You looked absolutely beautiful.
10th Grade here we come!

Carter's Preschool Graduation!

On June 1st, Carter had his big Preschool Graduation. He was very excited to graduate and counted down the days till he could be done with school. We went out and bought him a new outfit just for the occasion. He looked like a little STUD!

We asked him where he wanted to eat on his special day and of all places he said "Taco Time." So Taco Time it was!!! He was grinning ear to ear when we pulled into the parking lot:) Doesn't take much to make this kid happy. Funny Boy!

Carter with his favorite Ms. Hilary!

When they got done with the program they got to throw their hats in the air. You could hear Carter giggle when he threw it.

Daddy sure loves his Carter!

So does Mommy!

Grandma Sue & Papa Tom wouldn't miss their Car Car's Big Day!

Either would Grandma Terra and Grandpa Bruce!

Lela even came to celebrate!

Congrats Preschool Class of 2010!
We love you Carter!

Blakley got her 1st haircut on Memorial Day!!

Check out that CRAZY hair that she has!

Yep, That's a MULLET alright!

SERIOUSLY can she be any cuter????
She sat there so still. I think she loved having her hair played with:) Really I am just having her practice holding still so I can do fun things with hair when it gets longer! Can't wait!!!
