He just finished sanding our walls downstairs.
We are finally finishing our basement!!
A room at a time.
Maybe by 2020 we will be done:)

Circus

While we were gone to the cabin, we surprised my kids (and parents) with tickets to the circus. Cody, Wendy and Bentley got tickets and went with them. The boys had so much fun:) Miss Blakley got to spend the night doing girly things with Grandma Terra. Thanks Terra, there is no way Blakley would have sat down long enough to watch the circus.

Clint and I are so LUCKY to have such great parents. They are the BEST! They are always so willing to help us in anyway they can. A million thanks to them. What can we ever do to repay them?

They took Trax downtown. Which come on that could of been enough fun in itself. My boys LOVE Trax.

Thanks Wends for taking the pictures!

I sent my kids with $20 to get a treat or something, unfortunately $20 doesn't go too far at the circus:( Carter somehow talked the boys into letting him get a snow cone while the other two shared nachos. Hmmmmm tricky Carter! Good thing Aunt Wendy came to the rescue with glow sticks and candy that she brought with her. Thanks Wends!

My boys had such a FUN time at the circus! They are already talking about going next year. Funny thing is Tanner and Troy were LUCKY enough to go to the circus again the next day with their uncle Rob. Wow! Two circus performances in two days:) Can you say SPOILED??? Carter got to spend the day with his grandpa at a carnival that Jimmy Rex put on.

A hiking we will go.....

Oh Boy!
The boys wanted to go a hike in the mountains REALLY bad! Their sweet grandpa volunteered to take them. Too bad I am too much of a worry wart and thought there was no way my dad could watch all three boys. Crazy thoughts! I just kept imagining one of them running ahead, falling behind or worst being a dare devil and jumping off the side of the mountain or something. My boys are CRAZY! You never know! Any who, I ended up going with them. So much for the boys outing:) Besides, who else would have thought about taking pictures, right?!?!

We headed up Big Cottonwood Canyon and decided on hiking up to Dog Lake. We couldn't have asked for better weather. It was nice and cool.

My boys were little troopers! They each took turns wearing the water camelbaks without too much whining and made the four mile round trip hike without being carried. YAY!!!

We sure missed our little Blakley Doo (thanks grandma for watching her). She was so excited when her brothers came home. She wanted them to swim with her. She couldn't even wait to put on her swimsuit, she jumped right in the pool with her clothes on. Silly Girl!

Oh how I love summer days!

Daddy-O's Birthday

My dad celebrated his 61st birthday on Jan. 13th! What a fun reason to celebrate! My family all went out to dinner at Italian Village and then headed over to my parents house after for presents and dessert.
We gave him this gift basket full of his favorite goodies. What's better than watching a good movie with lots of yummy treats?

You can hardly tell that all of the grandkids love their grandpa. Most of the time, you can't keep them off of him. He really is just a BIG KID!

He had to model the new sports coat that my mom gave him. I'm lovin the pjs tucked into his socks. It's a Nice Look for you dad!

Carter let him borrow his crown for his big day!

Looks like my dad was the only one singing Happy Birthday! Nothing like a solo performance for your own big day! Happy Birthday Dad! Hope it was a good one:) We love you!

Disney on Ice

It's Carter's turn to go on his date with me!

I decided to surprise him and take him to Disney on Ice. And of course I wanted to take my Grandpa Tom with us. (I don't think there is a soul that loves Disney more than Grandpa Tom.)

We picked him up from school and took the traxx downtown. Carter was so excited to ride the train. I think this was his favorite part of the night.

We had awesome seats right up front.
He loved seeing Mickey and his friends!

Unfortunately he had never heard of Lilo and Stitch...

or The Little Mermaid.

Luckily he loves Peter Pan and Captain Hook!

FINALE!

Yummy!

After the show ended, he said "I thought we were going to Disneyland. That's where I really wanted to go."

Way to Dream Big!

Happy 60th Grandpa Tom

My dad celebrated his 60th birthday on January 13. The girls decided to throw him a surprise party! Who doesn't love to a big surprise party on your birthday, right?!?!

Earlier that day, we took lunch to my dad at work. We told him that no one would be able to celebrate his birthday until that weekend. You could tell he was kind of bummed:(
He loves his birthday!

My mom took him out to dinner while the we decorated my house with balloons, streamers, banners and confetti. The little kids loved helping out.

My life savers that night!!
Thanks for the help girls:)

We had a chocolate fountain going with all kinds of yummy treats.

My dad was so surprised he started to cry
when he walked in the door. sniff sniff

We had a awesome turnout of friends and family.

Thanks everyone for making my dad's birthday unforgettable.

Happy Birthday Dad!
We LOVE you tons!
