Flaming Gorge

Over Christmas break, we went to Flaming Gorge with the fam. Road trips are always fun when you have four little kids:) Good thing we made up for the drive with all the fun we had.

We were hoping for a lot of snow so we could go sledding, but no such luck. We did make the best of what we had though.

Kids watch out for the brushes!!!

Don't let this picture fool you, that hill was pretty steep.

We did have a few crashes but no one got hurt.
Thank Goodness!

Crash #1 Troy

Crash #2 Jessica

Crash #3 Carter

Crash #4 Tanner

Blakley had her fair share of "cuddle time" with just about everyone.
She ate up every minute of it.
She liked it so much, she decided to go without sleep.
She crashed hard when we got home.
Blakley couldn't get enough of Lela.

I even got her for a minute or two.

Grandpa Boyd giving her loves.

Tanner and his cousin, Clint had a blast shooting their air soft guns.

One night, we taught the kids how to leg wrestle.
Then we had a competition to find a winner.

We did a lot of lounging around and watching movies.

I Love this Man oh so much!

Carterism

"Hey Mom, Guess what I can spell?"
"Cat?"
"Nope"
"Mom?"
Nope"
"Dog?"
"Nope"
"What?"
"Boob! B-O-O-B"

That's great Carter, NOT!
(Remember when it was cool to say NOT?)

"Hey Grandma, Guess what my 2 favorite words are?"
"What?"
"Boob and Crotch"
(don't ask me when he learned that one)

Once again, Carter doesn't fail to surprise us!

Troyism

I always love when it is Troy's turn to say the pray because:
1. they are so sweet and sincere
and
2. you are never quite know what is going to come out of his mouth next.

The last couple of prayers, I have been writing down bits and pieces of them. Enjoy!

"Please bless the people who have no homes, no food and stuff and live in boxes"

"Please bless the people who have black fingers and toes, when they get too hot or too cold"

"Please bless the Tooth Fairy will give Carter a lot of money"

and my favorite

"Please bless my mom wouldn't lie because she promised to take us to the Tooth Fairy movie"

The other day Troy came up to me and said "Mom, you are my favorite mom ever. If I lived with a different mom, I would move to live with you." (ahhhh sweet)

Later that day, I warned him that if he didn't do something then he was going to have to go up to his room. He came right back with "Mom, don't you remember what I told you about being my favorite mom??????" me: "Yeah" him: "Well, then don't say things like that"

I Love You Little Man!
Never stop making me smile:)

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

I guess I should blog about Christmas before every last memory is gone from my mind.

On Christmas Eve, we spent the night over at my parent's house. We had a yummy potluck dinner with my parents, my brothers and their families, along with my Aunt Marilyn and my Grandpa.
My kids favorite part about Christmas Eve is getting new jammies from my Grandma and Grandpa.

Luckily, we had enough cookies leftover from dinner to leave out for Santa.
Thanks Em for making them, Santa LOVED them!

My kids were so excited to look over the railing and see their presents!

Christmas Parties

It seems like Christmas was forever ago and yet I am barely getting around to blogging about it. I am going to summarize Christmas week in one or two posts. Watch out for a billion pictures!

We party hardied with Clint's fam:
(too bad we didn't pull the camera out till the end of the party)
We had a yummy dinner and then watched the family video that Clint put together of most of the pictures from our get togethers from the last 10 years. (sniff sniff) It turned out wonderful! Thanks Babe for all the many hours putting it together.

Grandma Terra with most of her grandkids

We went to a Christmas Sing-a-long.

We had a rockin' party with my fam. We celebrate Christmas with my mom's side of the family every 23rd of December. It is a tradition that I hope that we never get rid of. (do you hear me guys?????) We had a yummy dinner, got to visit with the REAL Santa, watched him do his magic tricks and then the adults played the white elephant game.I think the kids were all mesmerized with Santa's magical powers!
(the girls in the family are a little outnumbered wouldn't you say)

Even Bentley couldn't figure out any of his tricks:)

Troy was chosen to be a helper!

Santa even called some of the adults to come pay him a visit: Wonder if they were naughty or nice this year????
