Daddy's day!

On Father's Day, Troy wanted to help me make breakfast for Clint. He was in charge of laying the bacon on the pan.
Thanks Little Helper Dude!

Something must have spilled in the oven from a previous dinner because when I opened the oven door to check on the bacon it was smoking so Clint was woken up by the fire alarm!! Sorry Hun, we struggle sometimes:)

After breakfast, the boys were excited to give Clint the presents they picked out for him. We surprised him with three new outfits and some new kicks.

Happy Father's Day!

My grandpa came out to my parents' house for dinner that night. Chicken Kabobs and Veggies. Yum! We thought it would be fun to take the fathers pictures.

Blakey's Pictures!

Better Late then Never!
That seems to be the quote of the day everyday around here.

I got Blakley's pictures taken when she was 3 weeks old and just barely posting them now. I had my friend Tawnee at mccayphotography.com

take her pictures and I think they turned out pretty stinkin' cute! Th
anks Tawnee!

Four Hours and Two Photo Shoots later
Blakley wanted nothing to do with her getting her pictures taken du
ring the first shoot. Tawnee was so patient.

Way to go guys!!

Today, Clint and my sister-in-law Wendy ran a 10k together. Cody, Bentley and I showed up at the finish line to cheer them on. It was too early in the morning for my tired kiddos to be there.

Clint's time 51:19
This was his first 10k

Wendy's time 54:27
She shaved almost 6 mins. off of her last 10k time

They both won 2nd place in their age group!
WAY TO GO GUYS!

Second Grade Graduate

The last week of 2nd grade for Tanner was a fun one. He was the student of the week. We made a poster filled with pictures of him and I got to go into the class and tell them some things that make Tanner special to his family. It was also his turn with the Show and Tell bag. He asked if he could bring Blakley. He was so excited when I said "Sure."

On the last day of school, Tanner received his record card. He got all A's and H's in citizenship. Hooray! To celebrate, we decided to take the kiddos to the Mayan for dinner. They loved watching the cliff divers perform.

Grandma Sue, Papa Tom, Grandma Terra, and Kim and her 3 girls
all joined in on the fun! Thanks guys!

We finished off the night with Papa Tom's famous homemade Rootbeer. YUMMY!

Can I take your picture please?

Troy loves his sister so much. He is always begging me to let him hold her or lay down by her. He is always the first one to go to her if she is fussing and talk to her in his cute little voice "Hi Sweetie Hi" or "Hi Sweetheart." He is so good with her.

Today while I was trying to get ready, he was watching her for me (don't worry I never left the room). The next thing I know he had my camera out and was doing a photo shoot with her. So Cute!

Here is some of his work:
One Word: SQUEEZABLE!

I had to get one with the photographer and his masterpiece. I am glad that he is such a big helper.

Air Show

Clint, his friend Scoob and my dad decided to take to boys up to Hill Air Force Base for the air show on Saturday. Even though there were thousands of people there, they still had a great time! What a fun time for the boys!

The boys haven't stopped talking about the jets since then.

Young Author Day!

On Friday, Tanner's school class celebrated Young Authors Day by each writing and illustrating a story.

My Baby Sister
by
Tanner

My story is about my baby sister. Her name is Blakley Ann. She was born on April 28, 2009 at 5:50 pm. She weighed 6 pounds and 15 ounces. She was 20 1/2 inches long. She was born with black hair. I was very excited to see her for the first time.

She loves wearing pink. She is a little princess! I am excited to be her older brother! I can't wait to be older so I can tend her. I love to hold Blakley!

It is going to be fun having a little girl in my house. I am going to be nice to her. I am going to buy her a doll. I am going to teach her how to read, do math and other things. I love to play soccer! I want to teach her how to play. I will teach her to kick the ball hard. I hope she likes to run. I wish she could play with me now.

I am glad that Blakley is in my family. She is such a pretty girl! I love my baby sister. I will love her FOREVER!
BLAKLEY, WELCOME TO OUR FAMILY!!!

Memorial Day Celebration!

We have so much to be grateful for this Memorial Day! First of all, my mom was released from the hospital. YEAH!! She will be on antibiotics for another two weeks to make sure all of the bacteria is out of her blood and the infection is gone from her throat. She also has to take it easy and get plenty of fluid and lots of rest. Which is going to be really hard for her, she is a busy body who never sits down. Thank you to everyone who kept her in their prayers! They certainly were answered. THANK YOU!

We are very thankful for the family members who have passed away and for the time we had with them while they were here. We miss them dearly. We visited their graves and left some flowers on their headstone. The boys didn't quite get why we did this but they loved looking at all the flowers and being with Grandma Terra, Aunt Kimmi and their cousins Tristin and Clint.

It was also a big day for Carter. He learned how to ride a two-wheeler without training wheels. Way to go Carter! You are such a brave little boy.

Calling all angels!

Two days ago, my mom went to insta-care complaining of a sore throat and an ear ache. She was told that she had a viral infection and was sent home with some loratabs to take for the pain.

Yesterday, she seem worse so my dad loaded her up in the car and headed off to the hospital emergency room to get her looked at. Several hours and several tests later, we found out that her oxygen level was way low, she was dehydrated and she had low blood pressure. Plus, the CT SCAN showed that she has a bad bacteria infection in the back of her throat and in her glands. They hooked up an IV to pump some fluids through her and get some antibiotics going. She was admitted and was told she would be there for a couple of days.

Today, She doesn't really seem to be much better. They ran some more tests and her blood work has come back showing that the bacterial has entered into her bloodstream. This means that the infection is more serious then we thought. She will be treated the same way as she has been: fluids, antibiotics, and lots of rest. But the stay has been increased to some more days.

Cody, along with Clint, Shane and my dad, gave her the sweetest blessing this afternoon. I hope that it will lift her spirit because she seems pretty down right now. We are all praying for a quick recovery. She has given us all quite the scare.
