Mom: " What's wrong?"
Carter: "I sick"
Mom: "What hurts on you?"
Carter: "Me feelings."
Mom: "Why do they hurt?"
Carter: "Because Gandpa is not home and I want to see him!"
Oh Carter, you really are a tender heart! Mommy loves you like crazy!
Enjoy the little things for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things. . .
Bentley finally arrived and only one day before his due date. Wendy delivered him natural with help from the Hypno birth techniques that her and Cody have been learning. She had about a six hour labor. Lucky! Her doctor and the nurse at the hospital told Wendy that she did such a great job that she should have her own book out. What a compliment!
Bentley weighed 8 lbs. 10 oz. and was 21 inches long. He was born with so much hair, you would think he had a wig on. What a cutie!
We are so excited to have two new nephews in our family. My parents now have a total of six grandsons. We have our basketball team.
Notice only one of the kids are smiling. Hiking isn't as much fun as they thought it was going to be.
Surprisingly, Tanner made it too the top with no problem. Troy made it with a little help from dad by holding his hand and pulling him. And then there was Carter, he got about 1/4 of the way and then was asking me to hold him. Clint really wanted the kids to make it as long as they could without being carried, so smarty pants Carter would start to walk slow so Clint would get out of his sight and then turn to me and ask "Now can you hold me". How can you say no to him?
As soon as we got inside the cave Carter fell sound asleep and missed all but the last little bit. Then we had the hike down, Tanner and Carter wanted to run down the hill. Troy on the other hand wanted to be carried the whole way down. He cried about being tired, having a tummy ache, and being hot. So we told him if he could make it half way then we would carry him the last half. And then of course when that happened, Carter wanted to be carried. Needless to say Clint and I both ended up carrying one down. Tanner is the winner of the day!
Heather~ I was right, the way I felt yesterday and today it feels like I have had a double workout. YUCK! I am getting old. My thighs, hips and calves hurt from hiking.
